Wimborne First School Prospectus
Cleaning We have an excellent cleaning company called NIC and they will be carrying out our cleaning every night. The staff will have anti-bacterial spray and wipes in the classroom and toys will be sterilised when necessary. At the end of each night the classrooms and communal areas for staff will be sprayed with a fine mist which is an antibacterial spray to ensure full coverage. Throughout the day the staff will wipe the work stations, door handles and toilets so a good hygiene programme is in place. Hand washing The guidance states that the staff should “supervise young children to ensure they wash their hands more often than usual. They should do so thoroughly for 20 seconds with running water and soap and dry them thoroughly or use alcohol hand rub or sanitiser ensuring that all parts of the hands are covered”. The school has plenty of soap in stock and the children will wash their hands on entry into school, before they eat any food, after playtimes and before they leave the school site. We will always carry this out in a fun way so it just becomes part of the children’s routine in school.
