Wimborne First School Prospectus

Learning for Life O n behalf of our staff and governors I would like to welcome you and your children to Wimborne First School & Nursery. The school is a magical place which has a ‘special feel’ to it because of our caring, friendly atmosphere. We strive for high expectations and will work with individual children and families to meet their full potential. We hope this booklet gives you an understanding of how our school is organised, and to appreciate the exciting opportunities on offer to children in our care. The school continues to develop in many exciting ways, providing an even more enriching experience for our pupils. I am extremely proud to lead a team that is so committed to providing the very best opportunities for the children who attend Wimborne First School & Nursery. Staff, supported by Governors, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to prepare children for future education; and to help them acquire the skills and enthusiasm needed to pursue learning for the rest of their lives. During the pandemic the school has worked tirelessly to make the children feel safe and give them a ‘new normal’ to work with. The information in this booklet is currently how we are running the school and as guidelines from the Government change we will adapt our practices and procedures. We look forward to welcoming you to our school and to a happy and successful partnership with all our new children and families.
